NDS Emulators

There are two publicly available emulators currently.

A Word of Caution about Emulators

For serious homebrew application development, it is not feasible to rely on testing using an emulator. While one obvious point is that many emulators will not fully replicate the hardware, and as such, code that would work on the actual hardware will not work on the emulator. However, what is even worse in the opinion of the author is that emulators may run code that will NOT run on the hardware. In writing this guide, many tutorials worked in the emulator, but when programmed onto a cartiridge and run on an actual NDS, they did not work. This caused quite a bit of extra work to ensure that all of the tutorials did in fact work on the actual hardware.
